When A Chief Minister of a state does a U turn on the Employment scenario of a State it is harmful for the betterment and the livelihood of our Youth. The State govt. who provides all type of assistant to welcome a industry in the state has to keep in mind that by giving subsidy to the industry to set up shop in the state, the states resources are being depleted and hence the natives has the first right to get employed in such state favored Industries. It it the responsibility of any government to dish out better job opportunities to the youth and bringing industry that will get the unemployed youth a gainful employment has to be the main target of the ruling govt. Our education policy can play a vital role in the training and development of a skillful work force that can be employed by these
industry giants that occupy our land and use our resources.A Investment promotion Board that was set up to hand pick, valuate industries suitable for our state has projects on hand that could give employment to 1000 of youths but non of the projects are local centeric and hence the cheap work force will come largely from other states and our sons of the soil would remain unemployed as usual. When any project is brought to the state and announcement is made for political reasons that thousands of local youth would be employed there is a ray of hope for the youngsters that the solace is in sight but this projects are only political mirage that the politicians play on the minds of the locals fearing opposition due to destruction of nature and resources. Once the project comes up the locals either would not be qualified enough to get employed or will be put for the lower grade employment under a non Goans contractor who will be ever ready to put these locals out and bring in his people to work. to the CM's utterance there were quick angry voices rebuttals here are a couple of them https://youtu.be/8XePwRWSxJg Tuesday, July 31, 2018
