Why blame the environment messiah?
The poor people who had lost a living during 2012’s mines’ closure by Manohar Parrikar to check mate the then Central Congress Govt. (Jayanty Natrajan to be precise) took more loans and mortgaged whatever gold they had to get their vehicles and machinery on road when the government abruptly started a few mines due to pressure from the dependents. The honorable Supreme Court’s ruling against these illegally started mines were a blow to all the Goan dependents on the mining business. The big miners of the nation who are friends of the Central Govt. have seen this opportunity of getting the Goan mines on auction and the local govt is under pressure from the Central govt.
In all this turmoil the local population in the mining belt have been affected very badly. Since the minerals have been extracted for the last 50 years or more the depleted state of our mines will not make the dependents live forever on the mining business and hence it's the duty of the govt to provide a alternative to this business side by side and hence extend the period of exhausting of Goan minerals so that the future generations too benefited by this ancestral wealth of Goa. That's exactly what Claude Alvares has been fighting for. The Goan Minister blaming Claude for the mess is totally uncalled for. He is nobody to instigate the already suffering people and tell them that Claude be sent out of Goa. He as a part of the govt. should apologise for the mess created by his govt since 2012. Claude Alvares is a true son of the soil and his integrity and loyalty to Goa cannot be questioned by these greedy selfish politicians.

Sub: Why blame the messiah of Goan environment for your greediness.

Sir,

The poor people who had lost a living during 2012 s mines closure by Mr. Parrikar to check mate the then central Congress Govt.(Jayanty Natrajan  to be precise)  took more loans and mortgaged whatever gold they had to get their vehicles and machinery on road when the govt abruptly started a few mines due to pressure from the dependents.  The honorable supreme courts ruling  against these illegally started mines were a blow to all the Goans dependents on the mining business
The Big miners of the nation who are friends of the Central Govt. has seen  this opportunity of getting the Goan mines on auction and the local govt is under pressure from the central govt. In all this turmoil the local population in the mining belt  have been affected very badly.

Since the minerals have been extracted for the last 50 years or more  the depleted state of our mines will not make the dependents live forever on the mining business and hence its the duty of the govt to provide a alternative to this business  side by side and hence extend the period of  exhausting of Goan minerals so that the future generations too benefited by this ancestral wealth of Goa. Are mining dependents being taken for a ride by the BJP govt.

The Last day of the just concluded assembly session was just as a normal last day of the monsoon session where most of the issues were tacked (half/full) and the opposition was as usual not subtle. The main issue was restart of the Mining but a more serious issue of formalin prompt up where the coalition partners of the govt.  were exposed to the Goans at large. The susegad Goemkar was awake with eyes wide open to this issue  but the Ruling dispensation steered by the I know all CM had the opposition lose their boxing gloves in the dressing room itself.
Then came the Main issue of Mining dependents who had been suffering since 2011 when  the BJP when  in the opposition flattered its wings and yelled from the roof tops that there is a 35000 cr scam under the Congress govt. Soon after taking office 2012 the bright CM took a hasty step to check mate the central Congress Govt.(Jayanty Natrajan  to be precise) and banned Goas mining activity stock and barrel. This decision was the most abruptly taken just to show ones supremacy and nothing was planned to streamline the mining activity. A through look into the Shah commission report would have given the then  govt of the BJP a insight of the correct route to take in order to carry on with a sustainable mining activity.
As the pressure from the mining dependents was felt by the Govt. during the  Parliamentary elections of 2014 the aspirant BJP s  PM candidate gave assurance that the mining will start as soon as a BJP govt will be installed at the center,  of course  the other was a - Special Status- which turned to be"Jumla". In the run up to the 2016 elections the BJP felt the pressure even when they had released subsidy and other forms of benefits to the mining dependents. Hence in a hasty decision a few renewals  of mining leases were cleared after taking crores as  fees from the miners. Here too in a bid to get re-elected a proper process was not followed but the election results did have some ramifications of discontent from the people and the BJP had to do all types of brain wrecking mid night hobnobbing to remain in Power at the cost of the sincere voters decision to bring in a change.
The poor people who had lost a living during 2012 s mines closure took more loans and mortgaged what ever gold they had to get their vehicles and machinery on road. Then came the supreme court ruling with a deadline of 31st March for the illegally started mining by the Govt. to stop. The Govt and its ministers were waiting for a miracle may be , they just sat on the order with no action coming from their side. In the meantime the govt and its mines department gave a free hand to the miners to dig as much as you want and store in dumps.

The Big miners of the nation who are friends of the Central Govt. saw this opportunity of getting the Goan mines on auction and the local govt was pressurized to sit idle till the expiry of the period with out moving any petition in the honorable supreme court in favour of a sustainable mining to be done to help  the mining dependents of Goa.

Now again its election time and the BJP party has realized that in order to get the 2 lok sabha  MPs elected they have to beat their hand and legs to show the mining dependents that they are working on it but first get us elected even if these two seats are of very little importance to the central leadership of the BJP.

Goa's CM says "Cannot force the Industries to employ Goans"

When A Chief Minister of a state does a U turn on the Employment scenario of a State it  is harmful for the betterment and the livelihood of our Youth. The State govt. who provides all type of assistant to welcome a industry in the state has to keep in mind that by giving subsidy to the industry to set up shop in the state, the states resources are being depleted and hence the natives has the first right to get employed in such state favored Industries. It it the responsibility of any government to dish out better job opportunities to the youth and bringing industry that will get the unemployed youth a gainful employment has to be the main target of the ruling govt. Our education policy can play a vital role in the training and development of a skillful work force that can be   employed by these
industry giants that occupy our land and use our resources.A Investment promotion Board that was set up to hand pick, valuate industries suitable for our state has projects on hand that could give employment to 1000 of youths but non of the projects are local centeric and hence the cheap work force will come largely from other states  and our sons of the soil would remain unemployed as usual. When any project is brought to the state and announcement is made for political reasons that thousands of local youth would be employed there is a ray of hope for the youngsters that the solace is in sight but this projects are only  political mirage that the politicians play on the minds of the locals fearing opposition due to destruction of nature and resources. Once the project comes up the locals either would not be qualified enough to get employed or will be put for the lower grade employment under a non Goans contractor who will be ever ready to put these locals out and bring in  his people to work. to the CM's utterance there were quick angry voices rebuttals here are a couple of them https://youtu.be/8XePwRWSxJg

Thanks to Father

of Opinion poll

Thank you to all those who had voted in favour of retaining Goa for the Goans. Jan 16, 1967, is the day when people of all walks of life came out and voted for the Goa that we as the new generation has inherited from our elders. Thanks to the father of Opinion Poll Late Dr Jack De Sequeira who  although being in the Opposition had the courage to stop something of this magnitude successfully and keep our little Goa to his fellow Goa's future generations.

Nowadays it is considered not worthy to seat in the Opposition and fight for people-centric issues but rather side with the ruling in the name of development of the constituency and their own self. They forget that they are elected by the people for a purpose and when they win they forget about their agenda and the long speeches they gave during elections. They only see the green grass in the ruling party's lawn.

Coming back to the legend Dr Jack Sequeira he was a true son of the soil. He did not try to flourish his political future but the future of Goan generations to come. The legacy of Dr Jack Sequeira cannot be hijacked by any politician of today by just putting up picture of himself with the legend.

The politician's actions will judge the real Goenkar in him by standing shoulder to shoulder with the laymen on the street trying to draw the attention of the lawmakers how our rivers our land and our self employment of the natives are at stake due to a few political decisions of the govt. in coercing with the central govt.

Thank you to all those who had voted in favour of retaining Goa for the Goans.16th Jan 1967, was the day when people of all walks of life came out and voted for the Goa that we as the new generation has inherited from our elders. Thanks to the father of Opinion Poll Late Dr. Jack De Sequeira who  although being in the opposition had the courage to stop something of this magnitude successfully and keep our little Goa to his fellow Goa's future generations. Nowadays it is considered not worthy to seat in the opposition and fight for people centric issues but rather side with the ruling in the name of development of the constituency and their own self. They forget that they are elected by the people for a purpose and when they win they forget about their agenda and the long speeches they gave during elections . They only see the green grass in the ruling party's lawn. Coming back to the legend Dr. Jack Sequira He was a true son of the soil. He did not try to flourish his political future but the future of Goan generations to come. Goa forwards was one party who people had put their faith in to protect  Goa  but the day they joined the NDA they have become the slaves of the Delhi Masters and will remain loyal to them for the years to come. The legacy of Dr. Jack Sequira cannot be hijacked by any politician of today by just putting up picture of himself with the legend. The politician's actions will judge the real Goenkar in him by standing shoulder to shoulder with the laymen on the street trying to draw the attention of the lawmakers how our rivers our land and our self employment of the natives are at stake due to a few political decisions of the govt. in coercing with the central govt. Congratulations to the lay people led by Mrs Rosy Marie who has shown the way that all selfless true Goans will always fight to protect Goa from being put out on sale in the name of Development just like Dr. Jack Sequira whom we salute him on this day for keeping Goa to us.
