In the wake of Goa s 60 th liberation day the free Goan people’s joy was abruptly disturbed by the news of scores of Goan youth being detained at various places across Goa. Capt. and a priest being arrested under preventive  arrest. Peacefully singing protesters at the panjim church being dragged to the police bus a mother separated from her crying son by the police for reasons best known to their bosses. This liberation day was supposed to be people oriented but looked to be some private political party’s function where Goans were not allowed to enter the capital city. Goan Youth of today is well educated and knowledgeable than those sitting on the chair of power. They no longer can be amused by your free laptop or free tab offers they are out to protect Mother Earth from destruction.More power to them and every Goan who has Goa at his heart is grateful for their efforts and mental agony they suffered on the eve of our liberation day. Our ancestors fought for our liberty  but this 19 th December the Goans were given a taste of the wicked Salazar medicine. The police govt officials were only following orders but they too know that whatever is going on in Goa these days will have a adverse effect on the future Goan generations which the govt is adamant to bulldoze for profits at the cost of our children.
